Cannot add NetBIOS support for IPX/SPX-compatible protocol (due to not enabled).
Cause:
The 'NetBIOS support for IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol' option is visible in the 'Network' dialog box, but it cannot be enabled by selecting the 'Add' radio button.
Solution:
In the 'IPX/SPX-Compatible Protocol' dialog box, on the 'NetBIOS' tabbed page, select the 'I want to enable NetBIOS over IPX/SPX' check box.
1) Click the Start button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Network' icon. (The 'Network' dialog box appears.)
4) Click the 'Configuration' tab.
5) Select 'IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol' from the 'list box.
6) Click 'Properties'. (The 'IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol Properties' dialog box appears.)
7) Click the 'NetBIOS' tab.
8) Select the 'I want to enable NetBIOS over IPX/SPX' check box.
9) Click 'OK'.
10) Click 'OK'. (The 'Network' dialog box appears, and the 'System Settings Change' dialog box appears, prompting you to restart your computer to enable the new settings.
CAUTION: To prevent data loss, save all open files, and exit all applications before proceeding.
11) Click 'Yes' to restart the computer and enable the new settings.
